Penguins

I love penguins. Ever since I was a child I have loved them. Adele and Emperor Penguins are my favorites. When I was little, the Houston zoo had a penguin display. However, they got rid of it when I was little, so I only got to see it once. they got rid of it.

When the aquarium pyramid opened in Galveston. On media day, I went down there and had the opportunity to play with the 42 King Penguins they have there. When I went back, they had added several Rockhoppers as well.

Once I moved to Oregon, I went to the zoo to see the penguins. Their display was quite a bit smaller (and smelly), but you could see their nests and watch them zoom around in the water. I've since gone back twice to see them. My daughter really enjoys watching them swim around. She also likes it when they slip and fall into the water-- it makes her laugh.
