Hi! My name is Jenni and I am 29 years-old.

I grew up in Santa Fe, Texas and graduated from Santa Fe High School.

After attending the University of Houston, I returned home to work for
U.S. Congressman Nick Lampson and then Alvin Newspapers.

I married my husband Covert (his nickname) in June, 1997.

In July, 2000 my husband and I moved to the Portland, Oregon metro area. I absolutely love
living here and couldn't imagine moving back to Texas. Since he grew up in Oregon,
my husband's family was already living here and we're working on getting my family
to move here as well.

Our daughter, Abigail, turned 5 this last April. We just recently registered her for kindergarten. It's hard to believe she'll be starting school this fall.

Since moving to Oregon, much of my activities have focused around the web and politics.
I worked for more than two years for a dot-com before they cut back their staff.

In addition to being a stay-at-home mom, I do web design for political organizations, candidates, and non-profits.

My current projects include:

Democracy for Oregon
The former Oregon for Dean organization.

Oregon Bus Project
-- It would be great to see a Bus Project in every state.

No to the 182nd/Powell Wal-Mart Supercenter
-- They want to place a huge Supercenter with two underground levels
of parking within walking distance of where I live.

Some of my favorite sites to visit:

Blog for Oregon
-- A great place for progressives to post their thoughts, opinions, and more.

Multnomah County Democratic Party
-- The state democratic party for Oregon. I've been doing quite a bit of volunteering with them.

Democratic Party of Oregon
-- The democratic party for the county I live in.

Blue Oregon
-- I'm over there quite often posting commentary.

Oregon Voter Rights Coalition
-- They're looking at the past elections and seeing what needs
to be fixed, what works the best, etc. and ensuring the fundamental right
of every American citizen to vote and to have each vote counted.
